A full-house project that took the kitchen, the flooring and the finishes at the same time, so the family lived through the disruption once instead of three times.
This was a dead wall in an open living space that the homeowners wanted turned into somewhere people would actually gather. The answer was a full-height run of navy cabinetry with a peninsula bar in front of it.
Quartz tops run across the cabinetry and out over the bar, with brass hardware and lighting picked to warm the navy up. The patterned cement-look tile behind it does the heavy lifting visually, and the television is framed into the cabinetry rather than hung on top of it.
